That is the headline I'd write if I worked for a news organization.
The UK is now isolating itself. Meanwhile, Scotland and Northern Ireland are considering their own separatist votes against England and in favor of the EU.
England without Scotland and its North Sea oil is a far less important economic power than it is as a whole. Scotland, on the other hand, would do just fine thankyewverymuch. The Scots have long considered separating from England. The movement is Northern Ireland has been more obviously volatile, but no less fervent. Brexit's first unintended consequence could well be the end of The United Kingdom and Great Britain. With just England and Gibraltar as the remaining countries in the United Kingdom, it hardly seems worth calling the relationship "Great".
This is what happens when ignorant people get all wound up with xenophobia and racism and an incredibly stupid national leader tries a "we'll show THEM" stunt vote.
Meanwhile, bin Laden is probably laughing his ass off as he sits there with his 19 Virgins.
George Bush is nowhere to be seen.
Great job, oligarchs! Waytago!

(15,445 posts)I believe just the opposite. The American electorate is now witnessing in real time the knock-on effects of jumping into the void at the urging of a bunch of bigots and neo-fascists.
I hope the sorry state of Brexit Britain stays front page news all the way to November.
