... About 40 people lined sidewalks at the intersection of NE Greenwood Avenue and Third Street, waving American flags and handmade signs with such slogans as “No more land grabs” and “Justice for LaVoy” ...

Among the crowd Saturday was Bruce Cuff, who placed third in the Oregon Republican primary for governor this year ...

Nina Sterling .. wore a pin with a photo of Kenneth Medenbach, her friend and an occupier who was arrested after he drove a government vehicle from the refuge into Burns to pick up groceries ...

As Cooper was talking, a passenger in a vehicle stopped at a red light called out to him and asked what happened to the occupiers ...

1. Ya know, people that really can't comprehend what the Bundy's want, need to learn history.

Before the federal government owned land that is used by ranchers for grazing, people like Cliven Bundy had their own armed guards. Even though the land didn't belong to them, they patrolled it and murdered a lot of innocent unknowing people. The sheep people were particularly targeted. That same scenario is what people like the Bundy's and their backers want again. But this time, they want the federal government to maintain the land for them.

LaVoy Finicum Supporters Stand Guard At Illegal Roadside Memorial
by Amanda Peacher OPB | June 22, 2016

Supporters of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge occupiers are in conflict with the U.S. Forest Service and other agencies over an impromptu memorial site for Robert “LaVoy” Finicum .....

The Forest Service says the memorial, which sits on Malheur National Forest land, is illegal. ....

Two men have been guarding the memorial for nearly three weeks, in response to several instances when the memorial was altered or disappeared completely in the middle of the night. William Fisher, of Salmon, Idaho, and Jamey Landin, of Burns, say these three weeks are the longest the site has been untouched.

“They know we’re there,” said Fisher, referring to anyone who might want want to alter the site. “We’re doing something here.” ..............

The two or three Occupation defenders are made to look very stupid, especially with their brilliant analogy of the House Democrats's sit-in being the same as the Oregon standoff because Ryan gave them a "lawful" order to disperse.
