She whipped their sorry asses.
She also showed Dems how to deal with them.
That was a major victory today.

(112,099 posts)That is also when Ted Cruz will be up for reelection. It would be nice to take out two for the price of one election.

Such chart is consistent with the real results of Texas when you compared 2010 to 2014

(19,559 posts)No, I'm not kidding, it stood out to me because of my Texas roots and how much better she was than the other choice. She's hands down, leaps and bounds to the left of Greg Abbot, the person who ran against her and won.
Stuff like that makes zero sense to me on a board for Democrats. Yeah, she's more middle of the road than most Progressives would like, that's what it takes to bring a red state back into the fold, though. Truth is, she's way more liberal than the person who beat her. She would have been a huge step in the proper direction if she'd have won.
We need to wise up and learn there's a world outside our own private bubbles. Myself included. Sometimes it's alright to give your time and money to a candidate that isn't 100% inline with your views if they're more like you than the alternative. Actually, is more than alright, it's necessary!

(37,748 posts)She's a rare public voice of the Democrats in Texas, and she's much savvier than people give her credit for. From her position as my city councilperson to my State rep, she's a treasure!

(1,365 posts)I had the feeling I was working harder than she was. She did very little campaigning. It was very disillusioning. She may have felt it was a waste of time, but she could have put on a much better show.
