Benghazi report: Clinton should have realized risks

Washington (CNN)House Republicans are planning to release a long-awaited report Tuesday on the Benghazi terror attacks that killed four Americans on Hillary Clinton's watch as secretary of state, reviving the politically charged issue less than five months before the election.

The report, parts of which have already been reviewed by CNN, paints a picture of a perfect storm of bureaucratic inertia, rapidly worsening security in Libya and inadequate resources in the months that led up to the killings of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three colleagues on September 11, 2012.

Clinton told the House Benghazi Committee last year that she was aware of the dangers in Libya but "there was no actionable intelligence" indicating a planned attack.

The portion of the report obtained by CNN doesn't offer a scathing indictment of Clinton. But it does argue that intelligence was available suggesting an attack was possible and Clinton and a top aide, Patrick Kennedy, should have realized the risks posed to the Benghazi mission by extremist groups.

We should add to that list all of the horrific, lifelong injuries both mental and physical, not to mention the countless civilian deaths directly resulting from Bush's lies.

wisecracks about the soldiers heading off to Iraq to kill some ragheads and burn

Benghazi. The Republican Party of that day were avowed isolationist. FDR still has accusers that he had prior knowledge and allowed the attack at Pearl Harbor n order to enter WWII. With the perfect vantage point of history something had to be done. The defeat of Nazi Germany and Japan has worked out well even though it left the Cold War threat of annihilation. The Republican Party of today are no longer isolationist but they are still not very bright and are self serving.

So there is NO evidence Hillary Clinton withheld response support to diplomats in Libya. As to the Pearl Harbor comparison the codes of Japan's Washington diplomatic office had been broken. Turns out after war is declared the Allies definitely won World War II in large part due to breaking signals of Axis powers.

Quite by accident in their pursuit of Benghazi Republican dolts learned about Hillary's private server. Since this topic is forbidden on DU I am not going to speculate. If American signals and intentions were made known like Germany and Japan found out potentially that is a huge problem. It is far above the pay grade of private citizen on an anonymous political message board to worry about such things, but the worm can did get turned over.

Let it be said I am a life long Democrat my Grandfather's private shrine to FDR is on our wall. Please do not shoot my dog.

Hilary's servers weren't discovered inadvertently. They were looking for anything at all and used Benghazi as their justification.

It's similar to how they spent nine years and 120 million dollars to investigate the Clintons for losing money in a 1970s land deal and ended up asking the president about semen stains on his intern's dress. It was never about Whitewater or Benghazi: it was about abusing their authority to dig up dirt on political enemies.
