My mother got one of those, she was super pissed off and saved it and showed it to me.

As Jarvis has been dead for 3 decades, I suspect it's from the anti-tax group he founded.
What's the petition? Is this about the new fire service fees for certain areas? The group has a class action lawsuit going over that.
Usually these kinds of mailings have disclaimers on the envelope and the letter stating that they have no connection to the government.

The petitiom is a b.s. support prop 13 send money and join hjta and how they only lost one tax fight they fail to mention that tax increase saved Ca and they claimed it would make everything horrible
