There's video at You Tube of cops trying to flag the truck down when it entered the promenade and a very grainy video from across the street showing just how fast that truck was moving.

I sincerely hope the Gendarmes are on this one like a duck on a June bug and already have that punk's whole list of friends and family and even people who sat near him at his Mosque in for some serious questioning about who supplied him with the grenades and guns he didn't get a chance to use, thanks to the quick action and accurate shooting by either the military or the cops on scene.

This is no longer saddening, it's infuriating that any punk with an imagined grudge toward a crowd of strangers can do this shit.

It's also going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

There are car bombs that don't take out as many people. If those who inspired this are paying any attention, they'll know that this sort of "attack" will be highly effective in the future.

I will say that I have often given thought to various sorts of attacks, and some ways to do a lot of damage seem extremely obvious to me. I want to be rather vague here, in no small part because I have zero intention of doing such things, and because I wouldn't want to be someone's inspiration, but sometimes I'm astonished that the terrorists don't think of the things I can think of.

Here's a thought that I am willing to share: It's clear that the terrorists really do not understand this country's culture. Otherwise they'd get it that the very best time to attack us would be during a SuperBowl. If the terrorists are willing to be patient enough, they should simply wait until the Washington Redskins are in a SuperBowl. Then invade. Trust me, it would be well after the end of the game before anyone in power actually noticed anything, and if the Redskins won, it could be weeks.

Luckily for us, potential terrorists are far too outside our culture to get this. And domestic terrorists tend to be focused on other things.
