The Laughable Defects In The Argument That Trump Can Reform Tax Law

Given what Christie and Guilani are saying on TV I have to assume it's true that Trump paid no federal taxes for perhaps all those years. They (and Trump) are claiming that because Trump paid no taxes that TRUMP ALONE is in the best position to reform these tax laws.

Now, if Trump had been saying since he got into the race that he's paid no federal income tax for X years, that was OUTRAGEOUS.... and the tax system needed to be reformed... we might believe these clowns that Trump was the best person to reform the system. BUT TRUMP HAS BEEN TRYING TO HIDE NOT PAYING ANY FEDERAL INCOME TAXES.

Instead they are portraying Trump as a business genius for pulling out of these business bankruptcies... businesses that failed BECAUSE HE WAS INCOMPETENT... without mentioning that he could only do so because he was a tax code "welfare queen".

And, seriously... where would business be today in the US if not for government FREEBIES? Freebies such as free limited liability protections for corporate owners and free intellectual property monopolies such as patents, copyrights, and trademarks? Why isn't liability protection purchased from the private sector AS INSURANCE so legitimate creditors aren't shafted in corporate bankruptcies while the personal wealth of corporate owners is shielded?

His bankruptcies were right around the same time rumors were going around that Trump had become a speed freak

Trump hoped this day would never come. He thought he could hide his taxes... and his loyal, but dimwitted base, would buy the tax audit lie. He doesn't have much room to maneuver EXCEPT to pretend not paying taxes makes him the expert on what's wrong with the system. But if intended to run on this issue HE WOULD HAVE USED HIS TAXES AS EXHIBIT A DURING HIS CAMPAIGN.

and the middle class has been pulling the wagon. We can trace the origins of their chicanery to the Congress of the United States. They created loopholes so these folks could rob the rest of us.

8. The Major Defect In Our Federal System: Trust In Elites.
Sun Oct 2, 2016, 08:31 PM
Oct 2016

Our Constitution was based on the idea that the People could not be trusted, and that elites should have a veto over them most everywhere in the Constitution. The Senate has a veto over the House, the EC was designed to over throw elections, the amendment process again involved the Senate and the bar for reform so high that now states with as little as 4% of the US population can now block any reforms.

The system has no safeguards against corporate power nor against elites who have declared war on the People.

who have been gaming the system for decades would actually reform it just stupefies me. Why would Trump change something he has personally taken advantage of?

Trump thought he could get away with this lie by keeping his tax returns secret. We owe a debt of gratitude to whoever leaked these returns.
