Act Blue-Pay Pal hacked?

Has anyone been charged through paypal a contribution to Act Blue?
I always do this in individual payments NOT reocurring pymts.None have gone through paypal.

This morning I received confirmation of payment from paypal to Act Blue.
When I went to the Act Blue website it did not show this contribution and furthermore I had no reocurring contributions listeD.

When I called phone number for Act Blue on the PP transaction they gave me an email addy that was bogus ActBlue.com/cc my ipad said not valid addy..

I think they or paypal must have been hacked

Would appreciate suggestions or experience with this.

You might forward the email to a bona fide Act Blue email address and ask if it was bogus. I usually just go to whatever site I get an email about (via my own link, not the scam email link), check that everything is fine and forget about it. The worst thing you can do is follow links on a scammy-looking email.

I sell on ebay and last week I got a bizarre email about something I had listed for sale the day before. Supposedly it was from ebay and they wanted me to click through to check something out. If the scammer can get my ebay password, after all, they can charge whatever they want to my PayPal account which is also linked to my bank account and a credit card. I checked the sites and listing on my own and everything was fine so I just ignored if. If something makes you nervous, change your passwords.

Don't click the link in the email. Go to the PayPal site directly, log in and look to see if the transaction actually happened.

PLEASE NOTE: Never click links in suspicious emails, especially those purporting to be from PayPal. They are phishing links that try to get you to give them your personal information.

And they have a dispute on the transaction.Called paypal @9:00am they had allowed the charge and are going to reverse it...Act Blue will not let me log in so not sure what the root of the problem..
I did change paypal password and decided to remove that card from paypal.
Thank each of you so much for suggestions! I was in a "swivet" at 6 am
