Path changing, seems weakening. We'll be watching carefully the next few days.

(5,716 posts)8. It's still forecast to be a major storm when it's by Florida
During the weekend, it showed it weakening to a Cat 1 or 2 hurricane by then and it would stay offshore. It keeps turning towards Florida as the days go by. If it comes ashore as a major, it will be the first one since Wilma in 2005. That's a once in 500 year event according to figure 1 in my second link below.
