Domestic Violence Charity Creates Intentionally Offensive PSA (NSFW)

“Any form of abuse, verbal and physical, is worse than a mere word.”

BreakTheSilenceDVorg

A new public service announcement for Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence asks viewers to consider which is more offensive, the F-word or domestic abuse.

A provocative new public service announcement asks viewers to consider which is more offensive: the “F-word” or domestic abuse.

And it does so by dropping as many F-bombs as possible.

The online PSA is part of a new “F*ck DV” campaign created on behalf of Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence, an anti-abuse charity based in San Diego, California.

All of the people in the video have suffered or witnessed some form of domestic abuse, including the group’s founder, Kristen Faith, who created the video concept.

I would expect a lack of concern on a Republican website, but it kind of shocks me to see it here.

Not the first time DU ignored DV, yet we are in GE mode for the first woman ever and it still is ignored. It breaks my heart.

Thanks so much for your post, smirkingmonkey.

If it takes a provocative ad to wake some people up, so be it. DV takes a terrible toll not only on the victim but their families and friends, and I agree with you: we all know someone who has been abused.

Thanks for posting. K&R
