Poland abortion strike: Thousands of women in over 60 cities refuse to work in protest

over restrictive laws

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/poland-women-abortion-strike-protests-black-monday-polish-protestors-industrial-action-a7343136.html

Thousands of Polish women dressed in black have boycotted work and taken to the streets in protest against a plan to ban abortions.

Without half their workforce, government offices, universities and schools in 60 cities across the country closed their doors.

For the day of action, dubbed “Black Monday”, women donned dark-coloured clothes in a symbol of mourning for the loss of reproductive rights they fear.

Poland already has one of Europe's most restrictive abortion laws and opinion surveys show very little support for an even stricter law, despite the nation's deep Catholicism and conservative political direction.

I was genuinely appalled when I read what Poland is considering doing.

I have no words for how horrifying this is.

if half the workforce has to quit because of forced childbirth.

Conservative assholes in government are trying to bribe their way into heaven by enslaving half the population in the name of a Jesus who never said a single word against abortion.

Guys, it's not going to work. We will continue to need--and get--abortions. The only question is whether or not they are safe ones your mothers, sisters, daughters, girlfriends, and wives will live through or whether you will consign all the women in your life to being butchered.

The people I knew, lived there for 5 years, were not at all like these scumbags seem to be.

They (most people and politicians) were still very LEFT and not the super shit fuckwits like you see in control now.

Makes me sick.
