There are indications this might be true. So, my question is why can't the people with an elite status tell the truth and rather make up stories of things that never happened? I guess when you are an elite the rules don't pertain to you? This goes for the politicians, rich people, athletes. Especially, when you are in another country.

There is some indication it was an inside job.
I loathe the Kardashians, bit I am really appalled and sickened by both the jokes about this and the cries that she made this up and is lying.

It's been a dramatic week for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West after the reality TV star was robbed at gunpoint in Paris over the weekend. Now Hillary Clinton has weighed in on the incident.
The Democratic Party's nominee for president told Extra, "I felt really bad for her."
Kardashian publicly endorsed Clinton's candidacy last month.
The former secretary of state continued, speaking of West, "He was in the middle of the concert and he ran offstage, bless his heart. I'm just glad nobody was hurt."

(344 posts)A woman in Paris got robbed. That is deplorable.
It's Kim Kardashian. So what? Who is this person? Why does the media waste so much time and ink on her? She lost $10M worth of jewelry. Boo hoo. How about we spend some ink on the family that just lost their home and is scrounging for food?

(1,232 posts)celebrities and high rollers take -- or don't take.
I have a number of UHNW clients whose homes I've renovated to include serious security, it's one of my specialties. I keep numerous and redundant systems in place in the event of any circumstances, from a secure room with a hidden mobile phone, to iron clad doors, loads of video cameras with movement alerts and panic buttons in strategic places throughout the homes in the event of an emergency.
Most of the homes I take care of aren't occupied most of the year, so I keep them on a live feed to my phone so with any intrusion and motion detector alerts that I can instantly pop online and see what's going on, and I always know who's coming and going. I can even shout through the line at the burglars and tell them the police are on their way. Of course the first line of defense is keeping them from getting in, in the first place.
In this case, it's looking a bit like a lack of security and possibly -- maybe, but likely not -- an inside job. Possibly. Security in these posh hotels is notoriously lax, and the concierge didn't know what hit him. When someone is holding a gun to your head at 2 am with no one else around, it's not worth dying for a celebrity -- or anyone -- and a pile of stupid jewelry.
The thieves were good, very expert in fact. They did their homework, waited for the best moment when the one obvious, huge hulking bodyguard was gone and blasted in and got the job done. They'd been following the entourage for days. The lone bodyguard was out babysitting the other sisters at a nightclub, but there should have been someone else on duty with Kim.
Their ruse using the cop uniform was perfect. Knock on the door and say 'something's happened to your sister'. Who in HELL wouldn't open the fucking door?
Shoulda, coulda woulda. Anyone can be an instant expert and pass judgement, but when you're up against professional thieves who don't want to hurt anyone, then ffs just let them have the crap they want. It's all insured and it's just STUFF.
