Oh no - over 108 people are dead in Haiti

I think that number will rise. I feel like crying.

This storm is so scary and it looks like its headed right for us in St Lucie County.

Be safe my friends in Florida. We will need all of the good vibes you can send our way.

He is only there a few times a year because of his age, but others volunteering for the charity are there continuously. I have a good friend that was scheduled to return there next week. I fear for those volunteers along with the people of Haiti. As if they needed more misery.

Some people didn't take it seriously. Others thought they could ride it out. Some were so focused on day to day survival they just didn't give a damn. I know the ones who took it seriously seemed to wait until the last minute before they packed up their roadside stands and headed for the one substantial building in town, the church. Usually they put the churches on higher ground, so it's the best place to be in a hurricane.
