But seriously is there any obscure semi constitutional gambit they could pull to even bring the subject of impeachment up in congress before the inauguration?

(546 posts)that the next Senate will have enough votes to remove President Clinton. It is conceivable that an impeachment bill could pass in the House but removal from office takes 67 guilty votes in the Senate. That's not going to happen.

It's not about a serious exercise of Congressional powers, it's about humiliating a hated president
They've done it before
I'm just curious how soon after the election they would try it with Hilary and you can anticipate that some form of corruption charge or even treason would be bandied about
