(And anyone who has ever offered such a non-apology and can't understand why it makes the other person even madder, listen up).

This is not an apology. An apology would be, "I am truly sorry I uttered such clearly offensive things. There is no excuse for it, and I fully understand how wrong it is to say such things. Please forgive me."

The conversation WAS offensive. It's not apologizing to say "sorry IF YOU were offended." That puts the onus on the person who was wronged and leaves the offender suggesting that it's his victim's perceptions that are the only problem.

But I'm not the least surprised. Watching the reaction on CNN, I'm stunned that the talking heads didn't realize that he talks and behaves this way. What part of his behavior of the last 15 months would lead them to think that Donald Trump was not a misogynist pig?
