I can't imagine the media didn't already have most of these Trump stories long ago

For example the Howard Stern segment about his daughter is easily accessible and the media and campaigns had to have been contacted about it long, long ago. Could they have been sitting on these so they could milk the Trump rating bonanza? It's like the media laid off him just so they could gut him right before the election for the best possible ratings. Trump was their reality TV show and they played the American people like a fiddle.

I think they have probably protected a lot of men from having their worst selves exposed. I wonder if there are legal obligations to protect them from becoming their own career ending scandal.
I have read that people knew what Bill Cosby was up to and protected him.
