Are you saying, or implying Trump ran with the purpose of electing Hillary and damaging the Repuke party?

"Trump has been a long time friend of the Clinton's, and Trump has been quoted as saying he liked and respected Hillary. I have long thought that Trump entered the race with the goal of guaranteeing the win for Hillary and putting the last nail of the coffin of the Republican party"

I do agree with the rest of your post, but that first part is REALLY a stretch - Trump's ego, bravado and self-centered character is what drives him.
