1. I live in that congressional district

and will be voting for his opponent, Paul Barrrera. Blake actually had an opponent with excellent credentials in his last election (a former military officer), but it is gerrymandered to include the affluent parts of Corpus Christi along with rural areas along the Texas coast that it will be difficult to get him out of office. He also holds numerous town hall meetings (there were two this year in Wharton where I live) throughout the district so that the people believe he is responsive to their concerns.
