(5,737 posts)and/or will only attack Hillary. FoxNews's Chris Wallace might be dumb enough to go for that.

(2,795 posts)I'm not sure I can watch. He's got no strategy but to smear Hillary in hopes of turning people off from the whole election process. I heard him talking about Whitewater this morning at a rally.
He's going to go to this debate, confident, defiant and ready to just destroy. That's his only chance. But it could backfire because the slimy attacks might make people go out *for* Hillary because he's just so awful.

(67,102 posts)nothing of substance, no planning, nothing. He sounds like a drunk in a bar at closing going off the deep end with monotonous babble.

(6,278 posts)I only made it about 10-15 minutes through the last one before I realized shouting at Donald through the TV was doing nobody any good.
And I think he's already dug a deep enough electoral grave - we just need to turn out at the polls!

(12,646 posts)Trump will repeat his stump speeches and not actually debate, leaving Clinton to just have answer questions as substantively as she can. She'll need rein in the urge to even mention her opponent and give him a possible escape, because there's nothing of substance whatever in what Trump will spew and he will end up drowning himself in a temper-tantrum induced pile of bumper-sticker nonsense in an attempt to get attention.
It will be a repeat of Sunday night - a train wreck. Delicious for some, but not to my taste.

(15,951 posts)either. But my hunch is he will try one last time before a national audience to energize his core supporters and will throw everything including the kitchen sink at HRC.

(14,853 posts)... candidates given the debate topics a week in advance.
The next debate is a week away, and Trump recently stated in regard to the Commission for Presidential Debates, "I have no respect for that group by the way, I'm done."
Coincidence?

(15,536 posts)Let's not forget that he's a textbook narcissist. He just wants to be the center of attention whether it be good or bad.
Like Sarah Palin, he won't go away after the election. The media will still be propping him up for ratings.
