Typhoon Songda hitting WA, BC, OR today

It'll be a wild day on the coasts, and an interesting evening here in the WA. Time to go check for loose tarps and batten down the chickens. We're set for an extended outage, so no worries here. Good luck to my duer friends in the area, and to everyone. Next time don't wait until the last minute to buy batteries because stores only carry a limited amount. If I'm offline for a bit, catch you later.

I have family in Seattle, PT, and on Marrowstone Island, all report being prepared and hunkered down. I keep checking the feeds from Seattle TV. Yikes.

3. It'd be neat to be out on the coast. Winds 35-40, gusts 60s predicted where I live

Pretty much just finished a small shelter for the generator if it's needed. Just pounding in the last tent stakes to hold it all down in that wind they're predicting. Got water, batteries, camping stove, wind up radio, a weeks worth of meds and cat food, Battery powered lanterns, carbon monoxide detector, tarps/duct tape in case a tree falls on the house,... we should be fine.

I'm watching the storm come toward us on windytv: https://www.windytv.com/?47.532,-122.574,7

Stay safe!!!

You can actually zoom in so close that you can see individual streets, mark that with a one click and then zoom back out, seeing the entire picture and the currents stats at that mark. It also does a forecast animation by clicking the bottom left play arrow (arrow pops up when the cursor hovers over it) enjoy. stay safe!

Been keeping an eye here for updates and when each area is being affected.

Power flickered yesterday and neighborhood nearby was down for much of day, but was ok here. Hope it doesn't go out today.
