Just checked the Indystar - two stories worth noting from "onceuponaPenceland"

1) Pence's LT Governor - running 12 points behind the Democrat.

Note, Pence had a female Lt Gov - but close to primary season she got allegedly got 'fired'/'talked into resigning' so Pence could pick a male Lt Gov should he run for President. That guy - Holcomb - is tarred with the stench of Pence - and running behind former Speaker Gregg - who lost in a close race to Pence 4 years ago. There is a lot of buyer's remorse in Indiana after that last election.

2) Pence is quoted as telling supporters at a rally to "ignore the news" - at first in light of the "false allegations" - then goes on to tell people not to pay attention "to whatever is in the news until after election day".

That is NEVER a good sign for a candidate to say. Essentially - believe us.

LOL! Oh - and Trump has a ninth accuser - and there appears to be a witness (family member) who was there.

In this part of the state (not representative of the whole state), the number of yards signs is far less than half of what one sees in normal presidential elections. More for Hillary, natch (college town) - but as I drive further into the country - don't see many signs at all - some Gov (more Greg than Holcomb) and some local races. Wonder what that might be indicative of per turnout.

yesterday. Somewhere around Bean Blossom there are a few signs like I used to see - one Pence, one Holcomb and a bevvy of others. That is what I am used to seeing.

Two weeks ago took a back route (and the long detour on 45) - and almost only saw local signs, a few Hillary, but more with Greg but no Hillary and only 1 or 2 Trump. And one big homemade Dump Pence!

Am I wrong - aren't there (in a presidential year) usually a whole lot more yards and each one with a bunch of signs. I saw few with any signs, and often only one - for a local office like clerk.

they've spent years vilifying Hillary.

now we only hear about how unpopular BOTH candidates are, equating Hillary with trump....it ain't even in the same hemisphere.

her favorable ratings werre in the sixties in 2009....pre-benghazi fake hearings....

But I thought the Tea party charge in the state party - which led to the supermajorities in the State House (that and gerrymandering) - would make this rabid Trump land. Don't see it.

I almost wonder if we will see more GOP voter depression (lower numbers), but not Dem (fired up both by Gregg, and with the idea of sending a big FU to Pence, even if not thrilled with Clinton.) Not me, btw, I will cast my vote for her proudly.

Wonder what the dynamics will mean at the state house and local govts.
