He apparently is OK but it could have been very bad. Thank god for air bags (and dog harnesses as Franklin was with him).

PARMA, Ohio – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and a staffer suffered minor injuries when the senator's car was struck in this Cleveland suburb Thursday afternoon, Brown's office said.

Brown's 2016 Jeep Cherokee was damaged substantially, and its airbags deployed, after another driver ran a stop sign and collided with the Cherokee, said Brown spokeswoman Jennifer Donohue. A Brown aide, Will Young, was driving.

Brown's dog, Franklin, was in the back of the vehicle, strapped in with a harness, and was unharmed, Donohue said.

Brown and Young were taken by ambulance to University Hospitals Parma Medical Center, treated for minor injuries and released, Donohue said.
