No matter what threat Trump makes about "not conceding" we have nothing to fear.

The states decide the outcome of the race. The representatives sent to the electoral college are decided by the individual states by December 8.

Whether or not a candidate concedes, it doesn't matter. Concession just acknowledges the validity of the vote and signals to the loser's supporters that the vote was fair.

Will we ever hear this from the "media?" Will they continue to hyperventilate if this ahole continues to repeat his "threat?"

Will no one reassure the people that the rule of law is still in place and that one man cannot upend our Constitution?

The American people, especially since 9/11, have been told over and over to be afraid, very afraid. Trump tells his followers America is weak, poor country filled with terrified people.

Those messages have not worked on some of us. Regardless that we are treated like children, we don't need the "big daddy" who promises to make it all better. The way he intends to do that is frighten everyone to panic and surrender our rights and laws on the altar of his ego.

It will take a lot more than a man-baby loser like Trump to put us down.

2. Concession is only a formality, being a good sport when shellacked by an opponent

Trump has always been mean, petty and spiteful. My guess is that he will pursue his next career trying to top Klayman for the sheer number of idiotic lawsuits filed. For instance, I fully expect him to challenge the legitimacy of votes cast by women, POC, and naturalized citizens.

He'll make an idiot of himself and eventually go broke, but that's what he does best.

3. It is not that his refusal to conceed makes the outcome a question.

it is the damage, instability and violence that could be caused be him and his ignorant, rabid, blind supporters in the wake of a loss.

It's also what is going to keep them quiet when they get their asses whipped on Election Day. Because right-wing authoritarians also have to believe that they are a majority, which permits them to be hostile to social out-groups. When they discover that they themselves are a minority, they will return to their television sets and Mountain Dew.

what I fear is his followers. I read story after story about them getting guns, food and amo ready in case he loses. They are in this for the long haul and woe be onto you if you are a liberal. Last night I read where one of them described it as liberals having a target on their back. His followers are crazy. Trump is just a mosquito you swat at and he flies off. His followers are insane.

9. Trump has the NRA and the KKK behind him. There is indeed reason to fear his threats.

Trump may be a buffoon, but he is backed by experienced and well armed domestic terrorist organizations.

10. "Fear and anxiety have always been a part of life and always will be. . . .

But we have always defined progress by our success in managing through our fears. . . .all found success . . .[and] overcome fear with courage and with a sense of proportion . . .without being distracted by distorted and illusory fears.

Leadership means inspiring us to manage through our fears. Demagoguery means exploiting our fears for political gain. . . .

There are only the politics of fear and the politics of trust. One says: you are encircled by monstrous dangers. Give us power over your freedom so we may protect you. The other says: the world is a baffling and hazardous place, but it can be shaped to the will of men. . . . " --Al Gore, New School University, "Fear, It's Political Uses and Abuses" Feb 9, 2004.

I refuse to be afraid of the KKK or the NRA or any jackboot wannabe. Basically, they are cowards who try to intimidate the vulnerable. Basically they are wrong. I wait for the day when the truth rises and washes away all power these losers have managed to use to their advantage.

No matter what they do, I will be against them.
