Our long orange nightmare has been brought to you by

the Republican Party and millions of people who are incredibly stupid, and/or terribly afraid of their economic futures.

And it's not going away anytime soon. The GOP has seen how well Trump has played to a segment of voters and you can bet that they will continue to peddle the same crap he's been selling for the past year. That's what they do. That's the kind of filth they are.

Perhaps, some day, we will live in a sane country. But not as long as the current version of the Republican Party continues to exists. We may have to wait for the next evolutionary step. Assuming we don't destroy ourselves first.

Thoughts on this?

There is only one way the gop survives long term: Shortly after the election either Rince Penis or Speaker Ryan goes on live tv and tells the teabagger/neonazi/white supremist/homophobic/christofascist members to take a hike. Sure, short term pain, but long term survival.
