Bridget Kelly Is Lobbing The Bombshells.....

Last edited Wed Oct 26, 2016, 12:22 PM - Edit history (2)

B27-Hit! You sank my battleship! Kaboom! The shells just keep falling. Now mind you, she had a completely unbelievable tale to tell explaining away the "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee" and "Is it wrong that I'm smiling" e-mails. In fact her explanations sounded like she stole them from one of her chocolate covered kids trying to explain they didn't eat that chocolate chip cookie before dinner. However, she is completely taking the big man down with her. I'm just so disappointed in my governor, I can't believe that he would be involved in something like this.

Bridget Kelly said she deleted Bridgegate emails as governor had 'memory issue'

The walls were closing in on Bridget Anne Kelly.

She had told her boss, Kevin O'Dowd, the governor's chief of staff, about what she knew about a traffic study, and about allegations of political retribution involving lane closures at the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, she said on her second day on the stand.

"Now he's having a memory issue," Kelly testified.

Even worse, she said, was that she repeatedly told Gov. Chris Christie himself.

"He's having a memory issue too," she declared, graphically recounting the moment at a senior staff meeting when the governor demanded to know if anyone knew about the lane closures, and nobody spoke up.

So she said she began deleting incriminating emails pointing to her own knowledge.

"Nothing made any sense," she said tearfully. I panicked as everyone else forgot they knew about it."

Her decision to attempt a cover-up her involvement came, she said, as the Bridgegate scandal began to grow and she came to see the governor and his inner circle closing ranks. She recalled finding herself coming to the realization that she was likely being made a scapegoat in the affair.

I'm just all broke up about this.

but you just knew that this was where everything had to be going. I think Kelly just did herself in with the completely unbelievable explanation of those two damning e-mails. I can't see a jury buying that line. Baroni already did himself in. I just don't understand how these two thought a trial would go well for them. They should have just torpedoed Christie from the outset. I still want to know who the f****r that Baroni was being urged to turn in was. Was it Wildstein or could it have been someone else? How about holding out the prospect that there was a job waiting for her? A little witness tampering or intimidation? Maybe?

'friends' bus. I think he was their planned tool but it back-fired big time.
I loved the 'memory issues' today. She forgot hers.

That said they took her for an idiot and she's not going down for them. I like that part.

Wish we could watch this

Now when will I get some Samson???

and she's fighting back hard. Let's hope it's enough to get him out of office along with most of the high ranking Republicans he's surrounded with.

Republicans: an organization that started out as a minority political party but morphed into a racketeering organization.

12. Christie is the former Jersey DA he aint serving no time

Looks like he earned to avoid using incriminating words long before the Bridgegate fiasco so I don't see him serving time or ever having to say anything under oath asound Brdigegate. The words he used were well thought out ones that don't work in court like how he "..had no knowledge of the creation or the implementation of the traffic problems in Fort Lee". The previous statement is probably true. Nope the damage to Christie is already done.

Christie never serving time or going to have to answer for Brdidgegate, however him letting them close the lanes for political reasons eliminated Christies chance in politics forever. Bridgegate helped end his political career.

Kelly is going down for the count she is at fault and her only defense is her opinion not much evidence to support it. Berroni might get off because there is evidence they talked about Bridgegate as a traffic study before he did his presentation about the traffic study for the Jersey lawmakers, he was just doing his job.

16. Buried In The Reports Of Her Testimony...

was this interesting little piece of information.

On Jan. 8, 2014, published documents showed Kelly wrote the “traffic problems” email. She was told not to come to the office that day, she said. Emails flooded her inbox, reporters swarmed her neighborhood and, she said, a news truck followed her daughter home from school.

“I felt like I was losing my mind,” Kelly said, but she continued working from her phone.

Later that day, Kelly got a call from Timpone, who said he “was told to call me.”

Timpone severed ties with Kelly later that January because of a conflict of interest. But on Jan. 8, Kelly said, he notified her that she would get a phone call the next morning from Christie’s two incoming top lawyers to tell her she was fired. But he also told her “it would be OK” and that another job would be found for her, she said.

Timpone declined to comment Monday.

Timpone is now a NJ Supreme Court Justice. Was he dispatched to shut Kelly up with the promise of a job? Was he dispatched to find out exactly what she would say? Was there a retainer agreement signed? Was a retainer paid? Did Kelly go to him for representation or did he go to her? These are some seriously odd doings and possibly criminal-definitely unethical.
