Doing some quick math, that means our of 65 Union troops, 16 died during the war, but only one of those 16 died in combat. IOW, 15 out of 16 died from camp fever, transportation accidents, suicide, or in hospital from infection. Ditto for the 10 out of 11 Rebel fatalities who died in ways other than in the heat of battle.
