Bill Kristol: conservatives need to be less compassionate

Bill Kristol thinks that Bush jr and tRump are "too compassionate" and for conservatives to be tougher, more Libertarian-like party and that Trump is taking the party in a softer, nicer Party that may not be the right decision.
Donald "fluffy little bunny" Trump a compassionate republican

After trying several times with his usual, unmatched level of accuracy, Bill Kristol came within two weeks of accurately predicting the peak of Trump's popularity. Which is the equivalent of hitting the broad side of a barn with a shotgun while standing in its shadow.

from the background? Yes, the clash of their "more libertarian" goals has grown so large and loud that even trumpster types realize something very bad's happening, that evil "establishment' thing. And they were so close to getting control of SCOTUS, poor frustrated schemers.

For one thing, they didn't like it that Hillary was part of the decision making - as well, they didn't like the fact that the Republicons would lose the middle class..to the Democrats..thus the start of their mantra of untrustworthiness of Hillary because no one told them she was involved..they even took (the Clinton Admin.) to court because she wasn't a Government official..THEY LOST....

Bill Kristol gave the republicons their policy statements..memorandum..he is the biggest POS

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_health_care_plan_of_1993

The long-term political effects of a successful... health care bill will be even worse—much worse.... It will revive the reputation of... Democrats as the generous protector of middle-class interests. And it will at the same time strike a punishing blow against Republican claims to defend the middle class by restraining government.

... lost jobs? Other than that load of BS, he's about as uncompassionate as they come!

Kristol might be right in the sense that many Republicans are hateful, selfish jerks. I even had a hard-core Republican manager at one of my past jobs who hated Bush Sr. promoting a "kinder, gentler nation."

Kristol is also a neocon, so I'm sure that he'd love the idea of the United States being embroiled in more wars around the globe.

Maybe he thinks bringing back English style Victorian workhouses would scare the poor out of wanting enough pay to live on. Debtors' prisons would also sound like a dandy idea to him.

Of course, the average slob conservative thinks these horrible things would happen only to other people, people who somehow deserve them, and never to him. If this bunch ever gains power again, slob conservatives are going to be in for a real shock.

A demonic tempter advises his nephew that the idea is "to make sure that they get fire extinguishers in a flood.". In short, that people reach for exactly the worst tool at the worst time. The one note "limited government" that has never worked is part of that, but the real sign is that they actually think they are too nice, and that they just have to be paternalistic jackasses who punish their kids more.

The more one opens themselves up to compassion, the more they move to the left, as a person, as a political figure, as a leader, etc.

Its a damn shame that this jackhole is typically one of the more intellectual conservatives. But I guess he takes his ideology so seriously that basic human decency is a bad thing if it stands in the way of achieving his view of government.
