3. Assuming there are any leftover funds, they can also be saved

for a future campaign (God help us). The campaign probably will owe a lot of money but a lot of it will paid, as it has been already, to Trump's own businesses, which he used as venues and suppliers to his campaign. So basically he's been using campaign donations from the dumb rubes who supported him to pay himself. Seems to me the FEC should come up with some more stringent rules on self-dealing.

5. He'll still have expenses after the Election. Cleanup, accounting, logistics...

I'm sure all of that will go into his pockets via the leasing of his personal property to the campaign.

If he's got 10 million in campaign chest, he'll pay 10 million to the Trump Tower where his campaign is leasing offices....and the 10 million will go to the cleaning deposit when they pack up and leave.

Didn't Colbert's Superpac use the money anyway he wanted to after the election? I think he was able to do it secretly as well.

Most wealthy candidates do not just give money to their campaigns they lend it. When the campaign is over any left over funds are used to pay back the loans. I have not examined his FEC filings but I assume his attorneys would have told him to lend the money not give it.

8. Donald Trump's Campaign Contributions Far Short of $100 Million Promise

New federal finance records released Thursday night paint a bleak picture for Donald Trump's presidential bid. His campaign's bank account is quickly dwindling and, despite a pledge to spend $100 million from his own pocket, he is not showing any signs of bailing it out.

His team currently has only $16.0 million in the bank –- almost four times less than Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign -- with just three weeks to Election Day.

In the first three weeks of October, Trump gave his campaign only $30,682, bringing his total self-funding to $56.1 million. The minuscule donation came in the form of six in-kind contributions for rent and payroll.

The GOP nominee would need to give or loan himself about $44 million during the last two weeks of the election to fulfill his previous promise.

Which you ignored. The OP asked what happens to leftover money. The leftover money will be used to pay back money Trump has loaned his campaign just like any other campaign when a candidate loans money.

Hey, don't be surprised. That's the kind of shit this scumbag does. He always spends other people's money when he can, and in a way where he reaps the profit.

Seriously, this is a guy who'll do anything for money. God forbid he ever becomes president, cause he'd totally end up looting the White House silverware

After Trump pays himself back for the use of his jets and Mar-a-Lago and other stuff, I'm guessing that the campaign will be virtually penniless.
