who claims to like Putin?
Who does business with russians?
Who would make a slovenian our first lady?
They hate foreigners. They hate divorce, and adultery. We have heard him discuss sleeping with women who are married while he's married.
They hate that he's really pro-choice, and not religious.
What, exactly, do they see in him? Can anyone remember?
Imagine any democrat guilty of any one of those: Oh, yeah. Edwards. 1 case of adultery, and poof, gone.
Is it really just his TV fame and illusion of money? Is that what matters to republicans anymore???

(1,508 posts)Now NAFTA is the antichrist and the TTP worse. The fact is, whatever the current leader says, no matter what it is, no matter how it contradicts core principles and beliefs they'll just go along with it.
As if wingnuts think for themselves.

Republicans now: "I for one welcome our Russian overlords! As long as Putin's not black, female, or a Democrat, he's a saint in my book!"

(153 posts)He represents what they consider "strong leadership". . .and, I suspect, they privately admire his ability to arrest and jail opponents (isn't that a Trump promise?), organize large crowds of thugs to physically assault LGBTQ Russians for the horrific crime of holding a pride parade, and stigmatize any group in the nation who can be easily scapegoated for problems.

(89,241 posts)they supported fdr but turned against social welfare programs after civil rights when blacks and other minorities would benefit from it.
they don't have a strong position on economic issues apart from "i don't want the blacks and mexicans to get............"

(31,170 posts)If they can overlook that, what is a little flirtation with Putin. They'll justify that too.
As will the rest of the GOPers still on board. At this point they will flee, stay home, or ignore anything else said about Trump. The ones actually thinking are long gone.

This is all there is except each topic has a video of Trump you can watch if you're feeling suicidal.
This is why they want him:
-I want to win for the people of this great country. The media, special interests, and lobbyists are all trying to stop me. We wont let that happen!
-We need the smartest people negotiating for us!
-I would love to see the Republican party and everyone get together and unify.
-America needs strong leadership.
-Live free or die. A motto for the whole country.
-I won't let them take away our guns.
-Being politically correct takes too much time.
-I will bring the greatest negotiators and smartest operators to Washington.
-We need to build a wall that will keep illegal immigrants out.
-I will unify and bring our country back together again.
-I will end common core.
-I will make our Military so big, powerful and strong that not one will mess with us.
-I will be the greatest job-producing president in history.
-I want to put us back on the right course and make America great again.

There you have it. That's all there is.
This is so persuasive to them that they allow all moral values to be ignored in order have this agenda.
This is what makes Republicans feverish to have him as their leader.
Any other topics, like Obamacare, isn't mentioned on his issues page.
Oh, and he also said Obama was born in Kenya. That's a big plus I guess.

(1,907 posts)Just like the bogus rw emails. Even when you respond back democrat X prez wasn't even in office it was X repub prez they still don't believe it. And I've had to explain that several times. It's all part of that training they have had. Liberal and democrat is spoken like some kind of cuss word.

It would be a bonus if he promised to appoint conservative SC justices to overturn Roe v. Wade.
