He only wanted to be close to Bill Clinton to help himself. Bill was smart enough to not buy into the 'friendship'.

9. It's really a pretty good article, for Dowd.

Yes, she snarks a bit at the Clintons but she saves most of her digs for Trump. The gist of it is that Trump was always New York's most avid social climber but was never really accepted, and now he's probably ruined his "brand" permanently - and nobody who's anybody will want to be seen with him.
