My husband is pretty set on watching NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. I don't mind Lester, in general, and have watched him since his days in Chicago, but watching him means I am exposed to Andrea "some say" Mitchell, and I very much dislike her.
We used to watch BBC America. Is that still a good, unbiased source of news? (I don't watch CNN, MSNBC, etc. - we have cable, but I don't want their spin, either).
Thanks!

(149,516 posts)Usually just the summary, which is about the first 10-15 minutes. Sometimes we watch the longer pieces they do afterwards, if any are interesting.
We record it on our DVR and watch it at our leisure. They do a reasonable job.
I miss Jim Lehrer, though.

(14,852 posts)I don't watch CBS anymore, but it seemed more fair than most when I was a "regular" national news watcher.
The CBS affiliate here sucks, though. If someone wants non-stop doom and gloom, that's the place for my local news.
EDIT: Republicans in my area seem to favor the CBS local news, if that tells you anything. They love having their amygdala stimulated! Lol.
