Donald Trump's Staffers Finally Took His Twitter Away: Report

Two days before the election that could conceivably make Donald Trump president, his campaign has taken his Twitter account away, according to a new report. Apparently the move was in an effort to keep the Republican nominee "on message"—something that's proved to be an issue for a candidate prone to 3 A.M. Twitter storms. There have also been other questionable tweets stemming from Trump's personal use of the account.

As the New York Times reports:

“Aides to Mr. Trump have finally wrested away the Twitter account that he used to colorfully — and often counterproductively — savage his rivals. But offline, Mr. Trump still privately muses about all of the ways he will punish his enemies after Election Day.”

Tech world analysis has contended since August that two authors have been tweeting from Trump's account. One, an iPhone, posted tweets that used hashtags and stayed relatively on message. The other, an Android user, employed more negative, emotional language and didn't use social media conventions like hashtags. It's been rumored that the latter is actually Trump (he's been "known to tweet from a Samsung Galaxy&quot .

He's already done the damage. This election was totally winnable for the Republicans. The Donald blew it bigly. Even for all his willful sabotage, he'll get 44 or 45% of the vote. That's pretty embarrassing.

The country pretty much wants to switch parties every 8 years. With only two exceptions (80 and 88) that's what we've done since World War Two. I hope Clinton makes the most of her time in office. She'll almost certainly be followed in office by a Republican... hopefully not till 8 years from now.
