From the new National Museum of African American History in DC

From the wonderful new National Museum of African American History, a photo, which was taken by Ernest C. Withers. It was captioned, ”Young woman receives her voter registration card, Fayette County, TN, 1960.” The elation on this woman’s face tells the story.

I hope you experience similar joy in casting your vote this election. Voting is our greatest freedom and most sacred responsibility. In spite of everything, this is still the greatest experiment with democracy on Earth.
