This country is dead. Time for a divorce.

Seriously. The USA was mortally wounded last week. She will linger until the Nuremberg rallies on Jan 20. That is the day she officially ceases to exists.

The whole system was set up from the beginning to insure the masses (the citizens), never got smart and over threw the ruling class. So they created the electoral college. Damn thing should have been gone decades ago. If we had a real democracy there would be no electoral college and we never would have had w, period. Gore won the popular vote, by about 500,000. It would be Madame President instead of the orange fuhrer, as she won by close to 2 million votes. Popular vote decides all other elected offices, except the most important one.

Right now this will be the second time in this century that the peoples choice was denied. Somethings way wrong with that. And we wonder why 49% of eligible Americans don't vote. Its not because they don't care. Most do. They are just tired of the whole rigged system. They have no confidence. And why should they? It is rigged.

When 25% of the country gets to decide who leads the country, something is way wrong. And that's just for the President. Congress is just as messed up. The House is rigged for white rural areas to rule and the Senate is getting ready to go nuclear and completely strip the minority powers away. Something is way wrong!

This is not a democracy!

I will not live in a fascist country. Sadly that is where we are headed.

America will die on Jan 20, 2017, unless something miraculous happens to save us from ourselves. Which I doubt.

Sadly I think we need to let go of America, split up and go our separate ways.

The people that voted for this new regime can stay have fun in there whiteness, burn crosses, walk around in their white sheets, drinking beer all day.

The rest of us, go west or to the north east. Start our own countries, like Free America West and Free America East. Maybe Canada would allow some new territories added to their country, like Pacificia and Atlantia.

I guess my point is, unless something drastic happens before Jan 20 to stop this monstrosity from occurring, we are headed for a civil war.

Right now I will stay where I am, surrounded by fascists in Florida. I will protest, speak out, boycott, any and everything I can to stop the orange hitler from taking power. If that means being beat up by orange supporters, fine. If it means being arrested, fine. If it means being killed, fine. I would rather be killed for fighting for freedom then die living in tyranny.

If fuck-face is installed as the ruler on Jan 20. I will begin to make plans to move to California. And from there wait and see if I need to make further plans to leave the country.

I am tired of living in a rigged system that awards, bullies, cheats, rapists, lairs and crazy people for being assholes with positions of power. I am tired of their hate. I am tired of having to survive Presidencies. That is way way way wrong. We shouldn't be having to survive a Presidency. I am also tired of having to fix what the old rethug/new fascists destroy after surviving their rule.

But right now I fight. I will fight for democracy be it to keep the one we originally had or start a new one.

However, in the end I think this will end in divorce.

reds want a fascist state, Blues don't. And the system is rigged in the reds favor. Not to mention reds are Blue abusers. We tell spouses married to abusers to leave before they kill you. We need to listen to that advice. Leave before they kill us.

2. I didn't say immediate surrender

I am fighting back. Took part in the protest Friday in Orlando. Plan on taking part in as many as I can. My yard has already been vandalized and I burnt my first fascist presidental campaign yard sign that the thugs left in my yard on monday. I fully expect to have my tires slashed and jeep keyed. I wouldn't be surprised if my windows in the front of the house get broken or suffer gun shots. Of course I do have a Never trump sign and a Not My President sign in those windows.

I fully expect to be physically assaulted as I just received my Not My President t-shirts. I ordered 3. Plan on wearing one every day for the next four years and just black mourning clothes for laundry days.

I plan on calling my reps everyday demanding they impeach that son of a bitch and his no good vp and remove ryan from any leadership roles.

Tell me, what else I am supposed to do? I will gladly do it!!!!! I would gladly not pay taxes. I think we all shouldn't pay taxes. I think we all should withdraw our money from the banks.

But I am not stupid. I see what we are up against. And History as shown us time and time again, it isn't good. That's not debbie downer talk, its reality. Yet still, tell me how to fight. I will gladly do it. I don't want to see my country die!

Our differences are political, cultural, emotional. There is no compromise.

We need a conscious uncoupling.

4. Only two states had every county in them vote blue: Hawaii and Massachusetts
Wed Nov 16, 2016, 09:58 AM

We live in a blue county (Orange County) in NC and have thought about moving, too. But I'm 65 and my husband is 74
and I don't think I have another move in me--certainly not to another country--and if it were me alone, I think I'd head
to Hawaii. But my husband doesn't want to go. So, that means either hunkering down and not becoming a target or
doing what we can to be a thorn in the side of these Republican a$$holes and protest.

I do see a very scary future and I don't think it is hyperbole to consider that we are well on our way to a fascist regime in
this country on Jan 20, 2017.

5. When the going gets tough losers head for California?

Just struck me as funny. Although I do have some sympathy for secession about now (even a brief fantasy or two), you lost me with the our nation's, whoops, not "our nation" but "this country is dead" silliness.

Please note, btw, that people don't fight for what's dead and the saying "the tough get going" doesn't mean they run away. Nor does it mean they typically choose to just burn down a house because they're intimidated by the long hours of hard work needed to repair it.

Because the divisions are urban rural, not just state to state.

I gave you a rec for getting rid of the electoral college and your reference to the Nuremberg rallies.

And its lack of faith in the system, that fuels pretty much the fantasy of a divorce. I am sure I am not the only one that does this. And that is not a good thing.

I am spouting off out of pure anger, fear and sadness.

Right now I am lost and fed up.

I look at our options and none of them look good. The options look like this.

1. Dividing the union. Basically civil war.
2. Doing nothing just drudging through the years hiding.
3. Go along, some times hide sometimes not.
4. Go along and not care.
5. Go along not hide but fight in any possible way and either be in jail or dead as I will be relabeled as the enemy even though I am not the enemy.
6. Openly resist, thus ending up much faster in jail or dead.
7. Leave.

Did I miss an option?

I am mostly favoring option #5. But often waiver between #6 and #7. While fantasizing about #1.

I am still stunned at how fast we are moving towards becoming a nazi, fascist type of country and most of America acts like nothing is happening. It is happening and it is happening here. So the question is what are we going to do about it? What can we do about it? This is not normal! This is not right!

It's like everything is blowing up right before us and all we care about is if our Starbucks cups are red for the holidays. It's maddening!

8. It does seem like a bad marriage
Wed Nov 16, 2016, 11:35 AM
Nov 2016

And I do recall the last 8 years, which the repugs in my area spent feeling alienated and disillusioned that they had lost the upper hand in the relationship, and now the joy that they have control again.

It reminds me of a bad marriage I had, where the back and forth was less pronounced but there was a constant unhealthy revolving of thought around what the other person was doing or thinking. When we finally ended it, the sense of relief was massive - I could finally be just myself.

Yep - when we win, the repubs fantasize, when they win, we fantasize.

I'm sure you are aware - civil war is not fun.

California may be your best bet, at least for the next 4 years.
