Walker Likely to Run Again

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) ruled out a 2018 Senate bid but indicated to the Washington Examiner that he is leaning toward seeking a third term as governor.

“The governor said he would sit down with his family in the next couple of weeks to discuss a 2018 re-election bid and make a final decision next year after passage of the state budget.”

He'll do whatever he thinks will get him to the White House. There should be enough additional voter suppression tools in place in Wisconsin by 2018 that he could likely choose between the two offices.

And I wouldn't count out the possibility that he's up to something involving moving to D.C. before 2018. He has fairly strong relationships with Pence and Priebus, so they could well have plans for "Midwestern Nice" Walker. It seems he's being purposefully kept away from the sleaze surrounding the Trump transition. I think there are plans for him...
