would have been challenged for the speaker position if we had won also. Not everything is men oppressing women, and certainly not in the Democratic Party. Remember, WE just elected four female senators and fought a noble and high-minded battle to elect America's first woman president. Belittling us IS belittling us and also all that Hillary did.

I have always supported Nancy and do now. She is ferociously competent and is still (sadly) the women who has risen to the highest power in our nation. But maybe let this political situation run its natural course without joining our enemies in falsely portraying it all as just "another" betrayal of America by the Democrats?

It is NOT. We're the good guys.

what was behind them is a big part of how the those-who-can-be-fooled on the right caused this mess. The "optics" are for fools.

Loved seeing Hillary speaking last night. She looks like herself again. Bet she doesn't miss the least little bit sitting every day while while her hair and makeup were lacquered and layered into an appropriate image.

"Our campaign was never about one person or even one election. It was about the country we love and about building an America that is hopeful, inclusive and big-hearted." H-

projects in dozens of nations around the planet. But I imagine there will be "else" also.

That said, I don't trust the right not to go after her, though. Millions are eager to jail her to prove they're "right" about all her crimes. A new murder, a fake murder-suicide of an FBI agent, has recently been laid at her door. It didn't happen, but many are already eager that "justice" be done, and attacking her would distract them from what their fascistic leaders will be doing.

Another class photo with all white, male faces. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose. Nancy has done everything, against great odds, the president has asked of her. And what has T. Ryan done that would indicate he has the leadership skills to best her in the job. And, I do know the women in Congress have written her urging her to stay.

The House need to be a bunch of rabble-rousers who are plugged into what the party needs to revitalize itself. It's just not clear that Pelosi and Hoyer have that insight anymore.

Certainly if Pelosi goes, Steny should also go back to the bench.

When presidents and their cabinets commit major crimes, they must be held accountable.

Oddly, the GOP holds Democratic presidents and candidates accountable for perjury about the use of the penis and where they keep their email, but Democrats can't be bothered to go after Republican presidents and candidates who interfere in a sitting president's peace negotiations to end the Vietnam War, interfere in hostage negotiations to undermine a sitting president, violate the law to arm death squads in Nicaragua, ignore warnings about the biggest terrorist attacks on American soil in history then fail to punish the country most responsible, lie about the need for war with Iraq, leading to wasted trillions of dollars, thousands of our troops lives, and over a million Iraqi lives, authorize the use of torture in violation of treaties we mostly wrote...the list goes on and on.

Hillary was not the cleanest candidate in history and she wasn't my first choice, but compared to Baby Bush, Papa Bush, Reagan, and Nixon, she was as pure as the driven snow.

But most people would never know that because Democrats "look back not forward," a policy Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Charles Manson could have benefited from too.

That is, both Schumer and Pelosi. And not necessarily to Tim Ryan, but I do think we need a change.

Look, I admire Pelosi but she took investigation of the Bush admin and impeachment "off the table" and that was a huge mistake that we are still paying for. The party needs a fresh face and a fighter for the working class in Congress to go up against Paul Ryan. And sorry, but Pelosi just doesn't come across as earthy or relatable to working class people. It has nothing to do with her gender.

Flame away.
