Said Gingrich: “I will not be in the Cabinet. I intend to be focused on strategic planning.”

“He did not say whether the decision not to be in the new government was his or Trump’s. The Trump transition team did not respond to requests for comment.”

Gingrich to the Washington Post: “I want to be free to network across the whole system and look at what we have to do to succeed.”

Thankfully Ben Carson has taken himself out of consideration (whatever that means in the upcoming Drumpf administration).

We are watching a national meltdown happening. These people are all madness incarnate.

All one has to do is to see what the radical religious right are saying about how Drumpf is their salvation. (Note that salvation is often framed in eschatological terms -- so much for Drumpf's alleged wealth at the end of the world.)

John Glenn is a space cowboy (went on a space shuttle mission in his 70's, just because he still had the right stuff).

Mike Massimino serviced the Hubble space telescope twice. He is a space cowboy.

Then there's bad ass Samantha Cristoforetti. She may be in Star Trek garb, but that more than qualifies her for bad ass space cowboy title. She's a jet fighter pilot, BTW.


Then there's the film of the same name. I actually like it, in spite of Clint Eastwood's recent decent into insanity.

Plus, it has James Garner, Donald Sutherland, and Al Gore's college room mate, Tommie Lee Jones.

What's not to like about it. I mean other than Clint... And the sucky plot. I still like it.

bunch of old action actors played astronaughts who came out of retirement to save the world. I compare politicians for whom things are over to Space Cowboys in that vein. Christie, Gugliani, Newt, etc.
