I listened as they called my President........

Author unknown - courtesy Morris King and Facebook:

I listened as they called my President a Muslim.
I listened as they called him and his family a pack of monkeys.
I listened as they said he wasn't born here.
I watched as they blocked every single path to progress that they could.
I saw the pictures of him as Hitler.
I watched them shut down the government and hurt the entire nation twice.
I watched them turn their backs on every opportunity to open worthwhile dialog.
I watched them say that they would not even listen to any choice for Supreme Court no matter who the nominee was.
I listened as they openly said that they will oppose him at every turn.
I watched as they did just that.
I listened.
I watched.
I paid attention.
Now, I'm being called on to be tolerant.
To move forward.
To denounce protesters.
To "Get over it."
To accept this...
I will not.
I will do my part to make sure this great American mistake becomes the embarrassing footnote of our history that it deserves to be.
I will do this as quickly as possible every chance I get.
I will do my part to limit the damage that this man can do to my country.
I will watch his every move and point out every single mistake and misdeed in a loud and proud voice.
I will let you know in a loud voice every time this man backs away from a promise he made to them.
Them. The people who voted for him.
The ones who sold their souls and prayed for him to win.
I will do this so that they never forget.
And they will hear me.
They will see it in my eyes when I look at them.
They will hear it in my voice when I talk to them.
They will know that I know who they are.
They will know that I know what they are.
Do not call for my tolerance. I've tolerated all I can.
Now it's their turn to tolerate ridicule.
Be aware, make no mistake about it, every single thing that goes wrong in our country from this day
forward is now Trump's fault just as much as they thought it was Obama's.
I find it unreasonable for them to expect from me what they were entirely unwilling to give."

That's not at all the same thing as the mass spread of lies about someone else.

I agree that giving Trump "a chance" to fulfill his dreadful promises would be a dreadful mistake.

Obama has had several live pressers this week during his travel to other countries. Also, his first face to face ever /w 'the republican' Obama has had some results.

We're organizing, together. Sanders, Warren, even people like M. Moore, BLM, Occupy people, Dakota protesters. Obama is already helping organize for when he's free of the White House 'job'. I'm following them. https://www.barackobama.com/

President Obama is speaking respectfully, he is speaking respectfully not only about our peacefuol democratic transition of power but to people who would only be driven farther away by anything else.

After the non-stop disrespect and obstruction of the last 8 years, for them to so patronizingly suggest we should just accept and move on, when they did nothing of the kind, is hypocrisy and arrogance of the highest degree.

but to see what we could have done better - we could, no one is perfect - and to start building on this for 2018 and for 2020. Our best revenge will be to turn the tide of these ignorant neanderthal who cannot think for themselves.

Our biggest revenge will be to see all the blue collar workers from North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan waiting and waiting for Trump to "bring back the jobs" and to realize that they are not coming back. And, with our prodding, to turn their frustration at him and his cronies.

I hope

Which is being quite generous, considering President Obama won by 8 points in his first election and Trump lost the popular vote.

I'll be hard pressed to forgive the many who voted for tRump. I really don't like the thought of dying as a bitter old man, (68 YO) but that just may be the case. We can do better and we must do that for humanities sake

8 years of bush the lessor now at least 4, (hopefully not 8,) years of swindler tRump will be the end of our democracy IMO

I know there were enormous pressures upon our President, remember he ran as the 'President of change'. But, the day I heard him give total immunity to the Bush Regime, on TV, I shouted (and scared my Wife) "he sold out". That day when he "compromised" with the Republican Party and they continued to oppose him he should have realized it didn't work. That is when he should have become the 'President of change' again. Instead he aided the bankers and wall street criminals and he hoped we would get the benefits, yes a few of us got some benefits but, the "rich" continued to get richer (and so did the Obama Family). We continue to be happy with pennies as the upper echelon continue to take the BILLIONS as a county we truly need to wake up... No our President didn't deserve any of the thing he was called but he also never had "THE REAL AMERICA SOCIETY" the media, senate, house, 1% elite, he only had us and we don't control any of those "AMERICAN Societies".
