Diverting one's mind is good therapy.
There is only so much that one can take. Today was one of those days. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III as Attorney General. Are they fucking kidding? This is a man who, unlike Mike Pence who only wants to bring us back to 1950, wants to bring America back to 1850. That way he can plan the Civil War all over again and this time maybe win
When you still want to watch television, but can no longer watch television news and bear to listen to people on TV act like Trump is a normal person, here are some suggestions:
Season 3 of the Swedish (and original version) of The Bridge is now available on Hulu. There is nothing like finely done Nordic Noir to put things in perspective.
Grace and Frankie on Netflix, starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterson, and Martin Sheen, is the finest binge watching available.
Also if you have some extra change, there is MHz Choice which offers excellent European and Australian television. There is some great stuff there for those who don't mind subtitles.
Acorn TV offers British television, along with some Australian and Canadian shows. There are a lot of classics like Doc Martin. I just watched all 3 current seasons of 19-2, a great police procedural that takes place in Montreal.
Of course there is always reading a good book. "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins was so much better than the movie.
