Is this what Trump voters wanted or intended to happen ?

I'm wondering if your friends and family that voted for Trump are already suffering buyers remorse or pretending to be shocked or surprised by his actions so far ?
My republican neighbors are expressing "bewilderment " and say they didn't see these appointments and actions coming. ( I'm having a hard time believing since the ones I've spoken to are highly intelligent professionals.)

I'm just curious

They'd have known better than to vote for him.

They're still doing the happy dance.

Who voted for Trump, were playing with a full deck, this election. Voting while a few slices short of a loaf. They (my mother, sister, and one uncle) expressed such fear of "Muslim terrorists," and "Mexican rapists" (among many other bogeymen), that they were and still are blind to any other issues. Having a rational discussion with them became impossible. Any point of view that was presented, with which they disagreed, was viewed as an ad hominem attack on them personally.

Edit (to answer the actual question): they seem quite happy with these choices.

Too long, didn't read: they weren't thinking.

... liberals are "crying" about the results.

That's pretty much the Republican party now. No real platform other than being anti-liberal and anti-Democrat.

Maybe Ann Coulter reaches more of them than I imagined? That's pretty much her message -- "Liberals are evil. The end."

...was giving them to the candidate with an "R" after his name. Anything other than that would have required critical thinking, something most seem neither able nor willing to do.

but I suspect that the vast majority aren't even paying attention. It's become the American norm to ignore what goes on in Washington.

happens...that nothing's happened yet and I said I don't have to wait because it's happening right now with these appointments. He doesn't have much to say to that.
