Consequences, Serenity, and Wisdom

We have said it and now they are:

Elections have consequences.

And so they do.

You are all at least vaguely aware of the Serenity Prayer adopted by pretty much every 12 step program. It gets recited often and is an integral part of the methods of these programs. It also applies to life. In my own life, I recite it often. It helps with a job, with family matters, with children finding their way.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

I wish our country wisdom.

I wish my kindred souls, you all among them, serenity.

I shall be hard at work, finding mine.
