The Peter Principle=things get FUBAR because people rise to the level of their incompetence

The Trump Principle=FUBAR squared, because people in the Trump Admin get promoted beyond their level of incompetence

We flipped both of our local state representative seats here. Could not get the state senate seat though.

Democrats picked up 12 seats in the Kansas house and 1 in the Senate.

Kind of a hollow victory though since both chambers are still heavily Republican dominated 85-40 and 31-9.

In another positive note, 14 conservative Republican incumbents were defeated by moderates in the primary. 8 of them in the House and 6 in the senate.

That would still seem to leave conservatives in control of both chambers, depending on how many of the incumbents were conservatives.

There's a lot of cloud in that silver lining.

Its his way of getting them indebted to him, then he passes on them.

Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Huckabee.

He isn't going to allow a single Republican in with his own base, he is only going to take those that are dependent on him.

Pretty effective actually.

I was so horrified by the ugly-demon-nightmare-presidential race-from-hell that I forgot to look. I suspect that he will not leave the public spotlight until he's carried out in a horizontal position.

People just thought he was too old and his judgement, or lack of, had cost the county all sorts of money in lawsuits. His opponent in the general had previously ran for the job as a Republican. This year he switched to Democrat and ran against him in the general. I think he picked up a lot of Republican and Indie votes.

loss to a Republican.

His ads were terrible however, looked like they were a Jr. High School media project.
