What do we do about Joe Manchin?

I used to be sympathetic to Democratic leaders in red states but his attack on Harry Reid for defending us is beyond the pale. Maybe in this instance it is better for him and for us to cut him loose and let him join the Grand Old Trump party.

I think phone calls and letters to Manchin could be good. We have to make sure that Trumpism does not become normalized. More people in this country, more people on this planet agree with Harry Reid and not Joe Manchin. He needs to be reminded of that.

He has a mixed record, he does not align himself straight across the board with republicans:

We also, need numbers to try to get control back in the Senate, though that will be a very difficult thing to do in two years

It's early. Send letters asking him to stand against certain things will be problems with Trump... conflict of interest, for example. We can't lose a possible ally. JMHO
