Who's guarding the hen house?

After nearly eight years of Republican control of Congress and countless investigations into what they perceived as "scandals" in the Obama administration, who will now investigate the Trump administration as the need arises?

We are already seeing serious conflicts of interest between the office he will hold and his private business dealings.

With continued control of Congress by Republicans, will they play a partisan role by not investigating Trump even for obvious transgressions? Will the mainstream media cower in the face of this incoming administration from fear of losing access that would affect their ratings?

I see that we no longer have much of a "check and balance" of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our Federal government now that Republicans control it all.
And subsequently not much of a check will be offered through the mainstream media (TV) intent on its bottomline and that of it's shareholders.

Where will justice come from?

Some of "our" politicians are speaking out a bit - but it is far too muted. I am feeling utterly unrepresented!
