Journalism is no longer practiced by the Media

I can count on one hand the number of practicing/living Journalists are left:

Bill Moyers
Dan Rather
Ted Koppel

You could make an argument for William Greider and Rachel Maddow only Rachel has access to MSM.

People like Cronkite, Murrow, Roger Mudd, Daniel Schorr are nowhere to be found.
very sad comment on our state of affairs.

what passes as news was accentuated by anchors who drew viewers1st, then relayed the news. News hours were pitted against one another to get the most viewers. People tend to watch the news program that had the anchor they liked the most. In the effort to be #1 the show producers became very concerned about angering some politicians who then would refuse to come back on their show. THAT is where we are now. Be nice to all your guests at the cost of presenting ALL the real news, both good & bad.

On a list of practicing/living journalists I would have to include Linda Ellerbe.

I didn't always agree with her opinion but I did admire her professional integrity.

Chris Hayes is showing promise, also.
But I am on a media "Black Out," until I can handle their BS reporting, again.

Twitter and DU is all I need for now.
