(13,386 posts)Will our Racist-in-Chief heed the NATO treaty and support our allies or will he listen to his puppet master Putin and turn a blind eye to Russian aggression?

I was commenting on how the idea of sending of sending US troops to defend Estonia would go over.

(58,724 posts)I don't think it would go over well. How do you think it would go over?
LonePirate
(13,386 posts)It's not because our new Racist-in-Chief wanted to establish a new forward eastern base of operations. It would be due to Russian aggression against the country.

(58,724 posts)My point is with respect to how the idea of sending US troops to defend Estonia from Russia would go over in the United States. I assert that it would not go over well. What about you?

(58,724 posts)I am asserting that it would not go over well in the US to send American troops to fight Russia in Estonia or elsewhere in the region.

(58,724 posts)I am just saying that the idea of sending American troops to fight against Russian troops in Europe would not go over well. Especially considering the significant loss of life that it would inevitably involve.

(23,005 posts)drumpf ran on being nice to Russia, he will not send one person to Europe to defend it from Russias' aggression. I bet he would veto any motion in Congress to send troops. All he wants is more $$ for himself and Russia is the key to enrichment for him. He's a freaking traitor in waiting. Doesn't matter one bit what Russia does, drumpf will sign off on it for his own personal gain.

(58,724 posts)My point is not really related to Trump at all.
It is that the idea of sending US troops to fight Russia in Estonia (for instance) would not go over well in America (even though we are obligated to do so).

I assert that it would not go over very well considering the significant loss of American lives that would inevitably result.

In Yugoslavia, Tito basically told Stalin to pound sand and set up his own Communist dictatorship, no Russkis need apply.
Putin is dreaming of setting up a Greater Russia like days of old. Russia has always dreamed of a couple of things.
1. To be accepted as a major player in European politics
2. To get an ice free port to the Western seas.
Putin is reviving thosse dreams.
