Che Guevera was a vicious racist, as well as a radical.
He lived for causing havoc.
That image (based on a staged photo,) of him looking so "resolute" was posed.

Fidel Castro was a communist dictator.
The only differences between Fidel and Battista, Battista was right-wing.

At school, the nuns scared the bejesus out of us by thundering on ad nauseam about making certain that our souls be ready for nuclear death.

Then I'd go home where my mother wanted to drink all the booze in the house so it didn't go to waste. I guess that was her way of coping with the fear.

I'd go to bed and cry. That was a terrible time.

He was an overwhelming force in breaking out of the cold war polarities in the '60s. He was trapped for many years by the Stalinist mindset, as was Ho Chi Minh, but within those limits both of them helped their nations and their people. And the international medical troops Cuba created have saved millions in third world countries over the past 40 years.

And no, he wasn't Batista and he wasn't F. Marcos and he was honest and he wasn't corrupt. Tell me more about leaders like G. W. Bush and D. Trump and creeps like the Shah of Iran the US Establishment idolized.

homes... the Cuban people suffered for half a century because of this asshat. I will never call him an "honest man" and yes, he was VERY CORRUPT. He owns everything in Cuba, from gas stations to hotels... all the $$ went into his pocket.

I was in Cuba in 2011, and I saw old people rummaging through the garbage looking for food.. He was an evil man.. I hope he rots in hell for what he did to his people.

We'll be living in something close to it with tRump, and when people are put in jail and called terrorists just because they're protesting something they feel is wrong, that will be like living in hell. When we lose most or all of our health care. When Social Security is privatized, when the Supreme Court is stacked with Scalia's and worse and will make rulings far right which WILL set us all back 50 plus years ...

I have friends I've been speaking to who will lose their health care under tRump, and if today wasn't brutal enough, a neighbor told me that her 13 year old grandson whose being given life-saving Chemo treatments thanks to Obamacare, and we KNOW that the GOP/tRump will replace it with zilch. She said she's preparing for him to not make it through a tRump presidency. She took the wind out of me as I stood there shaking to my core when she told me that. I know my neighbor, her daughter/daughter's husband their son and family are all living in hell right about now, and so are others who face similar fates when they lose access to life-saving treatment if they're suffering from a disease such as Cancer.

"But in the end he wants Trump Hotels and golf courses before Hilton can get (back) in there."

tRump's licking his chops at the prospect of possibly making MONEY off of Cuba if he can for his OWN good. Hotels, Towers, golf courses. It's not like he and his company didn't already break the rules of the Cuban trade embargo the US had in place when Castro was in charge in 1998.
