1. Ummm. You think Castro did that? Nope. The Cuban people did it (and continue to do it).

Maybe it wasn't your intent, but you completely ignore that it wasn't Castro who did the things you mention. It was all of the Cuban people who did that. The good, the mistaken, the bad.
Does anyone think that universal health care and universal education has to be forced upon an unwilling populace? Patently ridiculous, and offensive to the great works of the Cuban people, of whom Castro was one.

And as for free college - ha!. First, one has to belong to the Pioneers de Cuba to attend college - the communist youth group indoctrination and warm bodies who show up periodically in adulation of Castro. Strick records are kept on one's activities in the group.

And, of course, only the brightest attend college, after which you can make a pitiful $50 a month as a doctor. And that's good wages in Cuba.
