And if we were serious that is what we should do. We should have prepared for the voter suppression tactics. NC republicans loved the fact AA turn out was low - this is beyond sick.

SO he is correct on all points, I also endorse his twitter profile pic.

Al Gore put himself behind the eight ball by conceding at breakneck speed in a still razor close election.

That kicked off a dangerous trend.

Maybe that type of person naturally is republican? When it comes down to fighting dirty we are too virtuous to do it. He is right. They would be making an even bigger effort.

1. Here is what Republicans would be doing today. And it's what WE should be doing. Listen & RT if you want to help your party find its way.

2. Republicans would be spending $millions scouring the country looking for cases of voter fraud. They only need two or three examples.

3. Once they've found their cases of voter fraud, the ENTIRE right-wing media gets in sync behind the narrative of highlighting these cases.

4. Once they've established this happens, then they start making up numbers - say, 3 million. Soon everyone is using this invented number.

5. And even though voter fraud is incredibly rare, the right wing media/GOP has its entire base thinking it's widespread and decisive.

6. In our case, of course, millions of people WERE disenfranchised. But our media/politicians don't have the guts to fight dirty.

7. The Clinton team should quietly spearhead and effort to document GOP voter suppression all over this country. Interviews. Surveys.

8. Our 2016 post-mortem should be entirely about how the GOP wins elections by preventing our base from voting. Because it's true.

9. And EVERY TIME we find another documented case of crosscheck of suppression, everyone document it. All on the same page.

10. We drown GOP talk of 'mandate' in a steady drip drip drip of egregious acts of voter suppression which we all know are occurring.

11. We also, by doing this, keep public attention focused on reversing GOP voter suppression efforts in the future.

12. Does anyone doubt we can do this? No. It's actually easy. Do you doubt we have the guts and nous to do this? Absolutely.

13. The way forward is pretty damn clear. Our leaders will either commit themselves to it or we will go down without a fight.

14. Do more than AUDIT this election. Spend the money - WE HAVE THE MONEY - to research the fraud all over 2016. Hardball. FIn.

Here is what was said about crosscheck on AM Joy yesterday -

Joy - My next guest has a lot to say how about votes may have been stolen but not in the way many of you think.
She reads some from Greg Palast's Rolling Stones article, Rolling stones, 24 Aug, Palast article, GOP’s Stealth War Against Voters

Conversation -

Crosscheck was in use in WI MI PA NC, state where Hillary Clinton seemed on track to win but lost.

Crosscheck’s childish methodology; Created by Kris Kobach, now up for a job in drumpf administration; In MI (50,000) and NC (huge, maybe 100,000 but at least 35,000) the wipe out of Black, Hispanic and young voters was massive, crosscheck vote wiped out was massive;

Palast -
Let’s get away from the hacking stuff. It’s not about Russians hacking; it’s not about playing games with the software; it’s about machines that were mis-calibrated; it’s about the fact that we have about a half million absentee ballots in America that were thrown out for highly technical and questionable reasons; it’s 2.7 million so called provisional ballots when especially African Americans go in and their name is missing from the voter roles and they’re given a provisional ballot and which is then thrown in the dumpster; it’s about ballots that are supposedly blank but in fact have a mark on them and they need to be reviewed; it’s about machines that are off by 100th of an inch and don’t read a mark on a ballot; it’s about 90% turnouts in rural trump areas which is just astonishing and unreal; it’s about blank ballots which may not be blank.

It’s a technical process. Forget the hacking stuff, forget the conspiracy stuff, forget Russians, this recount, this review of the ballots and decision about which ballots are being thrown out and disqualified by the tens of thousands swamps trumps plurality in several states. This is the secret, the hidden secret of American democracy, we don’t count millions of votes.

Joy -

Could the throwing out of absentee ballots combined with the knocking people off the voter roles and combined with not counting provisional ballots account for the difference (from the exit polls and votes tallied)?

Palast -

Yes. They ask if you vote, but you don’t know if your vote counted.

Disqualified ballots is the real purpose of this recount.

Joy -

It's not the Russians, look at the republicans.

Who hacked the congressional dem sites? Who hacked DU? I'm not asking you, only throwing out the questions.

I trust Palast is correct which makes it more hopeful that tons will be found with these recounts.

sharing the data with Wikileaks for publication, etc.

If the recount does nothing more than show just how many votes do NOT count by what ever means, it will have been worth the cost and time.

I hope that we can find or create a group that will work on this crosscheck mess and other voter suppression causes. We need to turn it around by midterm. We've known about crosscheck suppression since at least 2014 and it's still screwing the voter.

As for the machine calibration.....not sure how often that stuff is checked? Maybe moving them around, back and forth etc causes some of it. Not sure he meant it to have been malicious, but more of a fact of misread or causing all these blank ballots.

change the results of this integrity challenged election by letting the real winner take office. It will take court cases and time. I loathe the idea of waiting for another election to fix this. There may not be another election if Trump and Putin are running our country.
