On the anniversary of Harvey MIlk's assassination
https://news.usni.org/2016/07/28/navy-name-ship-gay-rights-activist-harvey-milk38 years ago today Harvey Milk was murdered along with George Moscone. Both were amazing historical figures, and political geniuses, and also complex figures with dark sides.
However, as a veteran, I want to be positive, and point out that the USNS Harvey Milk is a real thing. Milk was a dedicated Sailor and apparently very good at his job. I mourn the loss of this amazing American, and I'm glad he is finally getting at least a little bit of the recognition he deserves.
